About Us
Cultivation Station is a training and demonstration hub based in central Arkansas. We believe good food starts with healthy soil and real care for the people who live here.
We’re building working example spaces, from lots to facilities, where we grow highly nutritious, delicious food and interesting horticultural plants, then teach the practical methods behind it.
What we grow and showcase
We grow primarily heirloom vegetables, while also producing seasonal fruits, fresh herbs, and nursery plants selected for flavor, nutrition, resilience, and local fit. As our growing spaces expand, so will the diversity of what you can see, learn, and taste.
What we’re building next
Cultivation Station is growing into a set of demonstration systems that can evolve with the right site. Planned and developing features include:
An orchard designed for seasonal U-Pick
A culinary herb and spice garden
Expanded nursery offerings for home growers and community plantings
Space-efficient systems like vertical and container-based growing where appropriate
How we teach
We teach through hands-on apprenticeship and mentorship embedded in the example spaces, while also offering workshops and short courses that make practical methods accessible for focused topics like gardening, agroecology, composting, cooking, and food preservation.
Why it matters
From planting seeds to preparing meals, we’re here to strengthen food access and skills close to home, so more Arkansans can grow, cook, and share good food with confidence.
